Attorney advertising
This website is attorney advertising under the California Rules of Professional Conduct and the State Bar Act. It is published by Acquest Law Inc., a California professional law corporation, 3838 Watt Avenue, F-600, Sacramento, CA 95821. The attorney responsible for its content is Nareshwar Singh Virdi, a member of the State Bar of California.
Nareshwar Singh Virdi is a Certified Specialist, Immigration and Nationality Law, The State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. Certification is granted by the State Bar of California, the licensing authority for California attorneys.
Immigration law is federal law. Attorneys in good standing with the bar of any U.S. state may represent clients before the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) anywhere in the United States. Representation in a federal court is limited to courts where the attorney is admitted or permitted to appear. The firm does not give advice on the law of any state other than California.
No outcome is guaranteed. Every case depends on its own facts and the law, and any results described on this website do not guarantee or predict a similar result in any other matter. Descriptions of the firm's services are general and are not a promise of a particular result, timeline, or fee.
The staff members shown on this website who are not attorneys, including law clerks, do not give legal advice. They work under the direct supervision of an attorney.
No attorney-client relationship
The information on this website is general and is not legal advice. Reading this website, calling, texting, emailing, booking an appointment, or sending us information does not create an attorney-client relationship. An attorney-client relationship begins only when the firm agrees in a signed written fee agreement to represent you.
If you contact us about possible representation, we will keep what you tell us confidential as required by California law, even if we do not take your case. Even so, please share only the basic facts needed to check for conflicts and schedule a consultation until a written agreement is in place.
Immigration deadlines are strict. Do not wait for a response from us to protect a deadline. If you have a hearing date or a filing deadline, say so when you contact us.
Not a government website
Acquest Law is a private law firm. It is not affiliated with the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR), the immigration courts, the Board of Immigration Appeals, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the Department of Homeland Security, the federal courts, or any government agency. Links to government websites are provided for convenience. Government forms are free on official government websites.
Beware of notario fraud. In the United States, a notary public is not a lawyer and cannot give legal advice on immigration matters. Only a licensed attorney or a DOJ-accredited representative of a recognized organization may represent you before the immigration courts or DHS.
